Actor-turned-rapper Joaquin Phoenix has resurfaced after months in the showbiz wilderness, stunning fans with a new clean-shaven look on the set of a new charity ad.Joaquin quit Hollywood last year (09) to embark on a new career as a rapper, and was last seen sporting a scraggly beard during a series of bizarre TV and public appearances.
But, the beard was gone on Thursday night (21Jan10), when Phoenix joined ex-girlfriend Liv Tyler to tape a promotional ad for To Write Love on Her Arms.
The non-profit movement is dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
